Book Ideas?

I'm debating what topic to write a book about for 2011. I have had some ideas suggested to me but now I will turn it over to you.

For those who don't know, my previous books have been about Harvey Comics (Casper, Richie Rich), TTV (Underdog), "Cracked" (like "Mad") and The Beatles (like The Monkees).

Anyway, I don't really want to do a topic that's been done to death (i.e. Disney), but I have some thoughts that have been suggested like the history of the comic book store and a comedy album review book.

Let me know your thoughts...

There is no prize, but I would like to see if you can jog a concept I haven't thought of yet...

Mark,

Recognizing the semi-self-servingness of this suggestion... how about a history of the classic DISNEY AFTERNOON shows??

Hmmmm...maybe. I'm surprised there hasn't been a book yet.

Mark,

You know you can count on me as a reference for certain shows. My problem is a lack of time (once school is back in session) to do the necessary extra research out at Disney to pull everything together.

I would definitely need your help if I was to undertake such a venture...

I have always wanted to see a good book about the Comic Book Direct Market, and especially its history. I keep hearing that Robert Beerbaum was going to write one, but I’ve never seen evidence of it… though these last few years it COULD have been published outside of my notice. Do you, or anyone know?

This would seem an IDEAL topic for you – and I’d buy it, just like the TTV book!

Thanks, Joe! You know Lee Hester of Lee's Comics came up with the same idea, so it just might work.

Chris, I approached my contacts regarding the Disney Afternoon book and they won't touch it. Do you know anyone at Disney I can approach?
