State Quarters

Whose idea was this? It is kind of silly and somehow forces everyone to save $12.50 in order to get a complete set. My mom helps me get these things and recently gave me the North Dakota coin. The South Dakota one is next with 10 more destined to be released in the next two years.

What will they do for an encore, and what will I do with 50 quarters? I guess I could buy a DVD or something...
